Why Complix Exists

I’ve been a licensed real estate professional in Ontario since 2008. Over those 18 years, I’ve seen the FINTRAC compliance landscape change dramatically, but most brokerages haven’t kept up.

The reality is that most small and mid-size brokerages don’t have the time, expertise, or resources to build a compliance program that would survive a FINTRAC examination. Some don’t have a program at all. Some have a generic template they downloaded years ago and never customized. Some have an outdated program that doesn’t reflect the October 2025 amendments or the March 2026 Bill C-12 changes.

I started Complix because I believe every brokerage deserves a compliance program that actually reflects how they operate, written by someone who understands the real estate business from the inside.
